How can I book a tour?

You can book a  tour from GoDewanjee either remotely or by visiting our office.

Most travellers book remotely by sharing soft copies of the required documents (passport, PAN card, and Aadhaar card for all passengers) and completing the payment digitally.

If you prefer, you may also visit our office to complete the booking and make payment by cheque.

GoDewanjee recommends booking your tour at least 6 months in advance of the scheduled departure date.

Most of our group tours tend to fill up around 4 months before departure, and early booking helps secure availability and allows sufficient time for planning and Smooth Tour Management.

On select tours, we also offer early-bird benefits, which are available for a limited period and are subject to specific terms.

The Token Advance or booking amount is subject to the cancellation policy applicable to the tour.

If a tour is cancelled after the booking amount is paid, cancellation charges will apply based on the timing of the cancellation, as outlined in Godewanjee’s Terms & Conditions.

We recommend referring to the detailed Terms & Conditions shared at the time of booking for complete information.

Token  amount is payable at the time of booking to confirm your seat on the tour.

The next payment is due between 20 and 30 days before departure, or prior to Permits processing, whichever is earlier. This instalment covers the driver arrangements and hotel rooms confirmation from the tour cost.

The final payment must be completed 7 days before departure.

Please note that this is a general payment guideline. For certain high-value tours, including those involving cruises or long-distance trains, a different payment schedule may apply. The applicable schedule will be communicated at the time of booking.

What is the cancellation policy for a group tour?
Cancellation charges apply for group tours, as per the Cancellation Policy outlined in Godewanjee’s Terms & Conditions.

The applicable charges depend on the timing of the cancellation.

For full details, please refer to the Terms & Conditions shared at the time of booking or contact our team for clarification.

What is the mode of payment in case of a refund from Godewanjee?
Any applicable refund from Travellive is processed via NEFT/RTGS and is paid in Indian Rupees only.

Refunds are issued in INR even if the original tour payment was made partly or fully in foreign currency.

How long does it take to process a refund?
Refunds are processed by Travellive within 10-15 working days after settlement of accounts with our service partners.

In some cases, partner settlements—such as with airlines, railways, or ground handling agents—may take 30 to 60 days, which can affect the overall refund timeline.

To book a tour or holiday, you can pay by any of the following methods:

  • bank transfer (in the name of Dewanjee Travel Expeditions (India) Pvt Ltd
  • UPI of your choice
  • cheque or demand draft
  • Credit card (requires a non-refundable convenience change of 2% of the transaction amount)
  • Debit card (requires a non-refundable convenience change of 2% of the transaction amount)

Which airline do you use?
Godewanjee.com works with a range of reputed airlines that are suitable for the category and routing of each group tour.

The selection of the airline depends on factors such as flight schedules, routing, baggage allowance, airline terms and overall tour logistics.

The airline applicable to your tour is informed at the time of booking and is also mentioned on the respective tour page.

When will I receive the air tickets for my Group Tour?
For group tours, air tickets are blocked well in advance of departure.

Copies of the air tickets are usually handed over to travellers during the pre-departure Get-Together Meet, which is generally held 7 to 10 days before departure.

Godewanjee.com will invite you to this meeting well in advance.

How much baggage will I be allowed? Are there any restrictions on items I carry?
We recommend travelling light and carrying only what you can comfortably manage while transferring between hotels, trains, and coaches.

Baggage allowance for check-in and cabin luggage varies by airline and class of travel. Godewanjee.com typically books flights with a reasonable baggage allowance suitable for the tour.

The exact baggage allowance for your scheduled airline will be shared with you prior to departure.

Each airline also has a list of restricted items for both check-in and carry-on baggage. These details are provided by the airline and are usually mentioned on your air ticket.

Can I change class of my air travel?
Godewanjee.com group tours are priced and planned based on a standard airfare class for the entire group.

Individual upgrades to Business or Premium Economy class are not part of the group tour structure, as flight bookings are made collectively.

If you would like to explore upgraded flight options, this would need to be discussed separately with our Travel Advisors, subject to airline availability and fare conditions.

You may write to us at : support@godewanjee.com

, and our team can guide you on the available options.

What will be generally included in my tour?
Godewanjee’s group tours are planned as complete, guided journeys.

They typically include international and internal travel as outlined in the itinerary, accommodation, most meals, scheduled sightseeing, and the services of a tour manager or local guides, where applicable.

The exact inclusions are clearly detailed in the day-by-day itinerary for each tour.

If you’d like, I can help you review the inclusions for a specific journey.

Is the tour itinerary fixed? Or does it change while on tour?
Yes, our group tour itineraries are planned and finalised in advance.

This helps ensure the journey runs smoothly and remains well coordinated for the entire group.

In certain situations — such as operational, weather, or local conditions — itinerary changes may be required, and these can sometimes be significant.

When this happens, adjustments are made with care to maintain the overall quality and intent of the journey.

What is a typical size of a tour group?
Group size varies depending on the destination and the nature of the journey.

For our group tours, the size is planned carefully to ensure the experience remains comfortable and well managed.

Most of our international group tours typically have between 20 and 40 travellers, and the exact number is usually confirmed during a conversation with our team based on the specific tour and departure.

Who would be my co-travellers?
Our group tours usually include travellers from different age groups and backgrounds, who share a common interest in exploring the destination through a guided journey.

Many of our guests travel as couples, families, or solo travellers joining a group for the shared experience.

The group is brought together by the itinerary and travel style, rather than by age or profile.

When you return from your dream holiday, we assure you that there will be additions to your friends list.

Can I modify or change my booking after confirmation?
Once a booking is confirmed, changes may be possible, but they are subject to availability and the terms of the tour.

Group tours are planned and contracted in advance, so any modification needs to be reviewed carefully.

Our team can guide you on what changes may be feasible and any implications involved.

Can I extend my stay while on a group tour?
The group tour itinerary runs as scheduled for all travellers.

If you wish to extend your stay before or after the group tour, this can be arranged separately.

Such requests need to be finalised at the time of booking, as extensions may impact availability and pricing.

Our team can guide you on the options and any additional arrangements involved.

What happens when Godewanjee cancels a tour?
While we plan our tours carefully, there may be rare situations where a tour has to be cancelled due to operational or external factors.

In such cases, our team communicates with travellers promptly and guides them on the available options, which may include rescheduling to another departure or applicable refunds, as per the tour terms.

Any decision is handled with care, keeping the traveller’s interest in mind.

What is TCS? How much TCS will apply on my tour?
TCS stands for Tax Collected at Source, which is a statutory requirement applicable on certain overseas tour payments, as prescribed by the Government of India.

When applicable, TCS is collected at the time of payment and deposited with the authorities.

Travellers may be able to claim credit for the TCS amount while filing their income tax returns, subject to prevailing tax rules.

If you’d like, our team can help clarify how TCS applies to your booking.

What are the age limits for a Child and an Infant?
For our tours, age categories are generally defined as follows:

  • Infant: Below 2 years of age on the date of travel
  • Child: 2 years and above, and below 10 years
  • Adult: 10 years and above

These age definitions are followed for tour pricing and are aligned with airline fare rules.

If you’d like, our team can help clarify how this applies to a specific booking.

What class of accommodation is provided on the tour?
On most of our group tours, we typically provide Standard & 3-star hotels, selected for comfort, location, and suitability to the itinerary.

In certain destinations — particularly in remote or adventure-focused locations — hotel options may be more limited, and the accommodation standard may differ from typical city hotels.

Specific hotel details or categories for each tour are shared as part of the tour information or during discussions with our team.

What type of rooms do you provide?
On our group tours, accommodation is usually arranged in twin-bedded or double-bedded rooms.

In some hotels, triple-bedded rooms may be available, though this is not common and depends on the property and destination.

Room allocation is subject to hotel availability and local practices.

Any specific room preference can be shared with our team, and we will request it with the hotel where possible, though it cannot always be guaranteed.

May I know hotel names at the times of booking?
At the time of booking, we usually share indicative hotel names or hotel categories for the tour.

Final hotel names are typically confirmed closer to departure, once all operational arrangements are in place.

Any confirmed details are communicated to travellers before the tour begins.

Is medical insurance compulsory for my travel?
Yes, medical insurance is mandatory for all Godewanjee’s international tours.

This is a standard requirement we follow to ensure travellers are adequately covered during the journey.

The required coverage details are shared as part of the tour information and documentation.

How will I get Insurance coverage if I extend my holiday after or before the scheduled tour?
For international group tours, overseas travel insurance is included in the tour price for travellers up to 70 years of age.

For travellers above these age limits, insurance is partly included in the tour price. As premiums are higher, the difference in cost is payable separately.

For Indian group tours and customised holidays, travel insurance is not included in the tour price and needs to be arranged separately, either through Travellive or independently.

If you’d like, I can help clarify how this applies to your specific journey.

What is covered under my insurance policy?
We have a tie-up with TATA AIG Insurance for all our tours. We offer TATA Aig Travel Guard Plus policy to all travellers. This includes cash-less treatment for hospitalisation, where the insurer pays directly to the healthcare provider as per their policy.

Group tour insurance policy included in the tour price has a limited cover which may include loss of baggage, flight delays/ cancellation, hospitalization, death, repatriation, evacuation etc. to a certain extent. Optional adventure activities which are a part of the tour itinerary may or may not be covered in the insurance policy.

How will I get Insurance coverage if I extend my holiday after or before the scheduled tour?
The insurance included in the tour price covers only the official tour duration.

If you plan to extend your holiday before or after the scheduled tour dates, the insurance can be extended accordingly.

Godewanjee will arrange this for you, and you would only need to pay the additional premium applicable for the extended period.

What type of meals are included on tour?
Meals provided in the tour are arranged as per the itinerary and are generally pre-set group meals.

On most of our international group tours, we try to include Indian meals, as this is preferred by many travellers.

At the same time, certain meals may feature local cuisine, especially where it forms part of the destination experience.

Meal inclusions and types are clearly mentioned in the tour itinerary, and any specific dietary preferences should be shared in advance, subject to availability.

Can I request for a special meal?
We understand that some travellers may require special meals, such as Jain meals, fasting meals, or other dietary preferences.

Such requests can be shared in advance and are accommodated where possible, subject to local availability and the arrangements made for group meals.

However, special meals cannot always be guaranteed, especially in certain destinations.

Our team will guide you clearly on what can be arranged for your specific tour.

Do you have arrangements for drinking water on tour?
Water arrangements vary by destination.

In countries where tap water is not considered potable, we provide bottled drinking water in limited quantities as part of the tour arrangements.

Additional bottled water, if required, can be purchased locally by travellers.

Our tour managers guide travellers on safe and practical drinking water options throughout the journey.
